Seachem Clarity 325 ml
Achieve crystal-clear aquarium water with Seachem Clarity, an advanced water clarifier safe for all freshwater and marine environments, including reef and planted tanks. Seachem Clarity is a revolutionary water clarifier designed to tackle all types of cloudiness, from bacterial blooms and chemical imbalances to particulate matter stirred up from your substrate. Its advanced polymeric flocculating agent works by clumping together microscopic particles, making them large enough to be easily removed by your aquarium’s mechanical filtration. This ensures that all types of clouding are addressed effectively in a single dose, simplifying your maintenance routine and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of your aquarium. Clarity is safe for all inhabitants, including sensitive corals and delicate plants.
How Seachem Clarity Works
When added to your aquarium, Clarity initially causes a slight increase in cloudiness. This is a normal reaction indicating that the active ingredients are beginning to bond with suspended particles. As these particles clump together, they form larger masses that become visible, and are then easily trapped by your filter’s mechanical media, such as filter floss. For best results, ensure your filter is equipped with adequate mechanical filtration.
Dosage and Application
- Dosage: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 80 liters (20 US gallons) of aquarium water.
- Initial Cloudiness: An increase in cloudiness is normal and indicates Clarity is working.
- Clarification Time: Rapid clarification typically occurs within 1-2 hours.
- Filtration: Ensure adequate mechanical filtration (e.g., filter floss) is present to remove aggregated particles.
- Repeat Dosing: If cloudiness persists, Clarity can be added every 24 hours as needed, provided adequate mechanical filtration is in place.
- Post-Treatment: In cases of chemical or particulate clouding, clean or replace filter floss/cartridge after the water clears.
Seachem Clarity is a versatile solution for maintaining pristine water conditions in both freshwater and marine aquariums, making it an essential tool for any aquarist.
