Based on the principles of the Balling method, AquaForest Component 1+2+3+ is a three-part dosing solution designed to replenish the elements your corals consume daily. Unlike basic two-part systems, this formula is enriched with essential trace elements that are crucial for the well-being of marine organisms. By dosing all three components in equal amounts, you ensure proper ionic balance and meet the specific demands of corals, especially SPS, in a reef aquarium.

Chemical Composition:

• Component 1+: Calcium chloride + Strontium, Barium, Cobalt, Manganese, Copper, Iron, Zinc, Nickel, Chromium, Molybdenum.
• Component 2+: Sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO₃) + Fluorine, Iodine.
• Component 3+: Magnesium chloride + Reef Mineral Salt (NaCl-free) + Potassium, Boron, Lithium.

Dosing Instructions:

The key principle of Component 1+2+3+ is to dose all three components in strictly equal parts. Before starting, discontinue previous supplementation and pause water changes to accurately assess your tank’s daily consumption. A general starting dose for a moderately stocked reef tank is approximately 25 ml of each component per 100 liters (26 gallons) of aquarium water daily. However, your specific dosing needs will depend on your aquarium’s consumption. It is highly recommended to divide the daily dose into as many small portions as possible throughout the day to maintain stable parameters.

Important Considerations:

• Testing is Crucial: Regularly test calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels to monitor consumption and adjust dosing accordingly.
• Avoid Precipitation: Never dose all three components at the exact same time. Allow at least an hour between adding each component to prevent precipitation.
• Adjusting Parameters: If one or two parameters are unbalanced, continue dosing equal parts of Component 1+2+3+ and use specific additives like Aquaforest Calcium, Magnesium, or KH Buffer to correct them.
• Initial Setup: Do not use Component 1+2+3+ to initially adjust parameters. Correct any imbalances using water changes or dedicated parameter adjustment solutions before starting this system.
• Dosing Pumps: For consistent results, automated dosing pumps are recommended. Ensure dosing lines are placed in high-flow areas to promote rapid mixing.
