Vibrant Orange Lime Rhodactis: A Jewel for Your Reef Tank!

Add a splash of tropical colour to your aquarium with the stunning Orange Lime Rhodactis mushroom coral, a truly captivating addition to any reef ecosystem.

Overview

The Orange Lime Rhodactis mushroom coral (*Rhodactis inchoata*) is a breathtaking variety of corallimorph known for its vibrant orange base and striking lime-green accents. Its fleshy, textured polyps can grow up to 8 cm in diameter, creating a lush, carpet-like appearance. These corals are generally peaceful but can sting nearby invertebrates, so ensure adequate spacing. They derive most nutrition from symbiotic algae but will readily accept supplemental feedings.

Care Level

Easy. This hardy species is forgiving of minor fluctuations in water parameters, making it suitable for beginners. However, stability is key for optimal health and coloration. They are semi-aggressive and require space from other corals.

Tank Essentials

A minimum tank size of 100 litres is recommended. Stable water parameters are crucial, with a pH of 8.1–8.4, salinity of 1.023–1.025 sg, and a temperature of 24–27°C. They thrive in low to moderate water flow and low to medium lighting.

Diet

Primarily photosynthetic, they benefit from supplemental feedings of micro-plankton or finely chopped meaty foods 1-2 times per week.
