Overview

Gorgonia corals, commonly known as sea fans or sea whips, are striking branching soft corals renowned for their intricate, fan-like or whip-like structures. Photosynthetic Gorgonians benefit from occasional phytoplankton, while non-photosynthetic types require frequent feedings of fine particulate foods like phytoplankton, marine snow, or specialized coral diets. Feeding should occur 1-2 times per week for photosynthetic types and 3-5 times per week for non-photosynthetic types.
