Feeding Instructions

For optimal results, follow these feeding guidelines:

• Preparation: Mix one level measure spoon of AF Zoa Food with approximately 20 ml of aquarium water in a small container. Stir for one minute.
• Dosage: The general recommendation is one measure spoon per 100 liters (27 US gallons) of aquarium water. However, it is important to note that individual aquarium needs may vary. Start with a quarter to half of the recommended dose and observe your corals’ response before gradually increasing.
• Feeding Time: Corals like Zoanthus, Ricordea, and mushroom corals are best fed during the day.
• Application: You can either pour the mixed suspension directly into the aquarium or use a pipette for targeted feeding directly to the coral polyps.
• Frequency: Feed at least once a week. In mature, well-stocked aquariums, you may increase the frequency to daily.
• Skimmer Recommendation: For maximum nutrient absorption, it is recommended to turn off your protein skimmer for about an hour during and after feeding.
