The Red&White Shimmer Cynarina, scientifically known as *Cynarina lacrymalis*, is a large-polyp stony coral prized for its striking translucent flesh and vibrant coloration. Resembling a “meat coral” or “button coral,” it features a single, large, fleshy polyp that can expand significantly, often appearing much larger than its stony base. Its unique appearance, with its balloon-like lobes and sometimes contrasting mouth color, makes it a captivating centerpiece in any reef aquarium. This hardy coral is generally peaceful and well-suited for mixed-reef setups when given adequate space.
