The Cyphastrea decadia, also known as the Lesser Knob Coral, is a truly distinctive LPS coral due to its rare branching growth pattern, unlike the more common encrusting varieties within its genus. Its corallites are small and tube-shaped, often appearing fuzzy, and are adorned with acropora-like axial corallites at the tips of each branch. This coral typically displays a striking pink to orange base with contrasting pink or orange polyps, sometimes with blue hues.
